Parent-teacher conferences

We went to parent-teacher conferences this afternoon and his teacher said she usually starts with the good and ends with the bad but there really is no "bad" in Liam's file.  She said she would just love to sit and listen to him all day because she loves the things that come out of his mouth and his language is amazing.  She also said she loves his creativity.  He's always thinking outside the box--trying new ways or suggesting new ways to do things.  His behavior is awesome, other than a few incidents here and there, but she said he always makes good choices when she asks him to change his behavior.  His handwriting has improved quite a bit this year already, though he still has issues with keeping his letters at a reasonable size (they're HUGE and wide! :)  )  We're pretty impressed with Liam and we're glad someone else is, too :)

Liam has a little buddy named Matthew. He's about 3 months younger than Liam. They're pretty much inseparable most of the time, and thankfully his parents are pretty darn awesome so the fact that we have playdates often rocks. They go to the same preschool, too, and we're petitioning to have Liam go to the same elementary school as Matthew as well. It's so fun to hear them talk to each other. Apparently they make self-destructing robots at school all the time, and they love to talk about Lego video games. Liam has Lego Star Wars and Matthew has Lego Batman and they will sometimes make plans at school to go to one another's house to play video games, and then inform us at pick up as to what the plan is. I hope they continue to be such good friends—I know having a few close friends is good, but having that one special friend is a thing to be treasured.
