One of our favorite activities in the fall is jumping in piles of leaves. We even had two separate playdates where we invited friends over to jump in the leaves with us! I think I also killed some grass because I gave in to children crying about me trying to put their giant leaf pile in the yard waste totes--poor grass couldn't breathe :(
Mostly we have fun. There is also some burying of siblings that goes on--Liam was nice enough to let it be him ONE of those times.
I try to also encourage help with chores; raking leaves being one of those chores. Though when you're raking them up just to scatter them all over the lawn again, I'm not sure the point gets across.
