Continued!

We attempted our first family vacation this Summer!  To keep things simple, we decided to do two nights in Omaha and hit up the Zoo, Children's Museum, the Pizza Machine and Fontanelle Forest.  And we were staying in a two room suite so we didn't have to go to bed when the kids did!  Well, we made it to the Children's Museum and had a decent time.

After checking in at our hotel, Liam and I took a dip in the pool.  Both kids fell asleep in the car on the way to dinner, and that's where things took a turn for the worse.  Liam woke up in a mood, didn't eat anything at dinner, and then got sick.  We decided to stay the night since both kids were so tired and wow, was that miserable!  I didn't get to enjoy the fluffy king-sized bed much, alternating between nursing Maggie and sleeping with an uncomfortable Liam on the pull-out bed.  We left first thing in the morning and got charged for checking out a day early.  Poor kid.  And poor us!  I was really looking forward to a great weekend!  And unfortunately, two weeks later, he's still trying to get over it.  He's not sick anymore but apparently hives are the final stage of it.  We're going on day 5 of itchy spots that appear and disappear randomly.

On a happier note, we've been taking advantage of cooler evenings for walks to our neighborhood park.
