We've been sick!

Liam came down with a cold a week and a half ago and then I caught it. He had it worse than me though, and is just now getting over it. This made for a very cranky child and more TV than a 2 yr old should probably watch in a week. The upside to Liam being sick is he was more snuggly than usual!

He's talking so much now, and it's fun to hear him put thoughts together. The other night before bed he was just talking up a storm. "Windy out. Hat off. Blow away!" (He remembers his sun hat blowing away this fall when it was windy) "Snowman. Hat off. Wheeee boom! Kick!" (We made a snowman and put a hat on its head but he kicked it and the hat fell off)

Grandma S. came up and spent the day with us last Friday. Liam calls her "Daffy" and since she slept in our spare bedroom, he now calls that "Damma room." Monday morning he actually went in there looking for her!

When she was here, we talked about how she was "Mommy's mom" and I guess it got through to Liam somehow. I was talking to Brian two nights ago and said "We should call your mom...." and Liam said "Damma!" And I said, "Yes! And Grandma Kathy is Mommy's mom!" His response: "Tim!" Yes, Grandma Kathy is Tim's mom, too! He amazes me so often.

With the kind of weather we've been having, it's hard not to think Spring is right around the corner. Liam has broken out the sunglasses, so he's all ready!
