Grandpa Dan and Great Grandma O. came up on Sunday to visit. Liam was so excited! (I got him to go to sleep Saturday night without a fuss by telling him Grandpa was coming.) Liam made lots of "hot tea" for Great Grandma in his kitchen and got her to read him some books. He was more than a little disappointed when he wasn't allowed to help fix Grandpa's computer. He's a big fan of fixing things :)
We took him in for his 2 year check up a week ago and got a good report. Liam is still tall and lean but at least he's hovering around the 10th percentile for weight instead of the 5th! He didn't mind his visit with "David" (What he calls Dr. Davis) this time around, as we prepared him ahead of time with a toy doctor's kit. He loves to look in our ears for birds. He'll say "Oh! Bird, ear." Then he'll pull it out and it will apparently fly away to the bank to get money. He also didn't throw too much of a fit when he got a shot because he'd read about Curious George getting one and knew that he'd get a bandaid afterward.
He hasn't forgotten his birthday and will randomly wish one of us a happy birthday. He knows that Daddy is 31 and that he's 2, but apparently 28 is harder to say or he doesn't care how old I am. But he's already looking forward to my birthday--he keeps saying "Mommy birthday 2 weeks!" I hope he doesn't get upset that he has to wait until April :)
His newest game is making inanimate objects talk. Puppets, cars, my eyebrows...and he says it in this cute sing-song voice. I'll have to try to get it on video.
